Update on school closing tomorrow, Tuesday, 24 March 2020

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whanau

As a result of the Prime Minister’s announcement this afternoon, Middleton Grange School will be closed as from tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 24 March 2020).  Only children of Essential Services (e.g. Doctors, Nurses, Ambulance and Police) can attend school if childcare cannot be arranged for Tuesday and Wednesday.  Normal classes will not operate, but supervision will be provided.  Students are to meet outside the Grange at 9am.

Middleton Grange staff will be at school tomorrow and Wednesday continuing to prepare for flexible, remote learning at ALL levels.

There will be no remote learning on Tuesday or Wednesday for any students, however, teachers will communicate with your child/ren from Thursday 26 March onwards.

In challenging times such as these we join together as brothers and sisters in Christ for prayer and support.  We are blessed to be part of a Christian community and reminded to ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’  Matthew 22:37-39.

Nga mihi nui

Mike Vannoort

Principal
