Update for Students and Parents / 24 March 2020

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whanau

A reminder that Middleton Grange School will be closed again tomorrow, Wednesday 25 March. Only children of Essential Services (e.g. Doctors, Nurses, Ambulance and Police) can attend school if childcare cannot be arranged for them. Normal classes will not operate, but supervision will be provided. These students are to meet outside the Grange at 9am.

Middleton Grange staff will be at school again tomorrow continuing to prepare for flexible, remote learning at ALL levels.

Teachers will be communicating (email, or phone, or Microsoft Teams) with ALL students in Year 1 – 13 classes on either Thursday 26 March or Friday 27 March as follows:

For Year 1 -8 students ONLY the Form Teacher will make contact.
For Year 9 – 13 students only SUBJECT Teachers will make contact

Please note that the April School holidays have been brought forward and will now commence from next Monday 30 March and conclude on Tuesday 14 April.

This means ‘Remote/Online learning’ will resume from Wednesday 15 April, the start of Term 2, and will continue until we are notified by the Government that it is safe to return to our school grounds.

Please be assured that the staff at Middleton Grange School are well prepared to support your child/ren’s learning whilst they are at home and will continue their contact with you after the holidays.

Be reminded and encouraged by these words from 2 Timothy 1:7
“For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.”

May God bless you and give you His peace over the coming weeks.
