Over $1000 raised for World Vision
The annual ‘Hire a Worker’ auction held in June to support World Vision generated some fierce competition among bidders. Eight groups volunteered their services, ranging from baking, gardening and cleaning to doing homework and getting people out of detention. Top money ($175) went to buy The Avengers, with a further $90 paid for the individuals Iron Man and Hawkeye.
