We read a very funny story called Mrs Wiggins' Warthmelons. Everyone wanted to grow potatoes, but Mrs Wiggins and Ralphie decided to grow watermelons. Some very strange things began to happen. If you read our stories you will find out what happened next.......

potatoes, but Mrs Wiggins and Ralphie went to buy wartymelon seeds. Everyone said you can't plant wartymelons in Korweingboora , but Mrs Wiggins did not give up. She did not care and she went on and on without giving up. Everyone started to plant wartymelons.

Freddie

We found out some information about the artist Vincent van Gogh. We learnt that he liked to use warm sunny colours in his paintings and we tried to draw the Sunflower picture like he did. Vincent also liked to look up at the stars in the sky and he painted a famous picture called Starry Night. We tried to make out pictures look interesting.

One day we were very busy dressing our snowmen. We had lots of collage material to choose from and we made some beautiful snowmen. We also got to make some pretend snow, we used salt, flour and water and painted it on our pictures. When it was dry it because very white and hard. Brrr! It was cold in Room 1.
