Middleton Grange School Board Of Trustees

Parents are a vital part of the Middleton Grange School community.  Involvement in this community can range from helping out with school activities and trips, parent help in the classroom, fundraising (Fiesta!), Home-School Network Committee, prayer and the Board of Trustees (BOT).

The Board of Trustees is made up of the following:

            Elected Parent Representatives

            Christian Schools Proprietor Representatives

            Staff Representative

            Pupil Representative

The Board of Trustees is set up by the Government as a statutory body, meaning it has regulations to comply with, and has the job of setting the strategic direction for the school and making sure its legal requirements are being met.  This is what you call governance.

The Principal has the job of running the school on a day-to-day basis and this is called management.

The Board of Trustees, along with school staff, and in consultation with the community, develop policies and plans by which the school will be governed.  It is important for you, as parents, to contribute to the development of these plans and policies so they reflect the wishes of the whole school community.

In addition to the Board of Trustee members being a voice for Middleton Grange School parents, they importantly bring a diverse mix of technical skills and life experience to the governing table.  The Board meets monthly and the focus is on pupils and their learning, all to the glory of God.
