Gateway
GATEWAY is a programme which is funded by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC). It is designed to enable pupils to undertake workplace learning over a wide range of occupations. There will be no cost to participants, as GATEWAY funds all the equipment and clothing necessary to complete the placements.
To complete the programme pupils attend their placement for one day per week for a term. It may not take all pupils the whole 10 weeks or a term to complete their placement, but it will take at least 6 weeks. This is a great opportunity for motivated pupils to gain experience and also credits.
Middleton Grange School has applied for and has been approved admittance for 35 pupils into the Gateway programme in 2010.
The GATEWAY programme requires that pupils complete a minimum of 10 credits.
There may also be options to complete a placement during the holidays or on some Saturday's.

- All Senior College pupils, however preference will be given to Year 12s and 13s.

- Pupils who can keep up to date with their academic studies while on placement.
- Pupils who have a desire to explore a particular career path.
- Pupils who are ready to enter the working world but want some experience first.
