Room 10 has also been looking at Winter.......Some of the pupils have written stories.

Winter

The slow and graceful moisture slowly falls from the sky, making a soft blanket of sparkling snow. Think of it as sugar. It makes you think of Christmas and Christmas bells, it's as if you can hear them chiming. Try imagining it as lovely snow falling so if you fell in it, it wouldn't hurt. So it is like if you were dressed in white you wouldn't be able to see yourself. The lovely hot fire is burning to greet you. As you come in a tingle goes through your spine. It just makes you feel lovely inside. To finish your day a warm cocoa awaits, how wonderful on a freezing cold day.

Winter

Winter is freezing and cold. When nobody's home frost quietly creeps up around the corner. The frozen snowman wishes he was in a nice warm house drinking yummy, hot chocolate. When I step outside it's as cold as Antarctica in a snow storm!!! Then my face turns red, my fingers turn white as my body freezes. All I can do is look into the misty snow. Suddenly I see a figure, a strange figure and some light. The figure approaches me and carries me home. I sit by the fire and smile wondering what might have been.

Winter Mornings

On winter mornings the fire is set, the doors are closed and the cookies are ready. It feels like a dream when a snow storm is approaching. When you brush your teeth and wash your hands the water feels ice cold. Outside the world changes, you get colder and colder and you feel like a snowman. The snowman is smiling and the sun is awake and you wrap yourself in a blanket soft but stiff. You start shaking and quivering. The door to the house is like a door to another world. Inside you feel like a burning fire it feels so nice.
