Aims of Alumni

In 1964 the Lord prompted a number of prayer men and women to start a Christian school, Middleton Grange. In the past 40 years nearly 6,000 pupils have been nurtured at the school and in this way the Lord has richly blessed the school.

We warmly invite you to join the Alumni Association for ex-pupils, staff and Board members to renew or maintain ties with Middleton Grange School.

Our mission is to develop an Association that is fully integrated with the school, supportive of its mission and policies and dedicated to its advancement for the glory of God.

Our Goals

• To open the school facilities to Alumni events giving members a reason to keep returning and encouraging them to support the future development of their school.
• To send personal invitations to members to attend important school functions.
• To communicate regularly with members about the aspirations and achievements of the school.
• To help members network and keep contact with other members.
• To support the school's Outward Focus.

Middleton Grange School continues in its commitment to training young people in servanthood to transform New Zealand's culture, and to give pupils the best Christian education possible. The teachers, support staff and the community take this commitment seriously, and work together to deliver the Christian education and encouragement that will strengthen our pupils' relationships with God and with each other.

It is our hope and prayer that Middleton Grange pupils are getting more than an education - that they are finding a sense of direction and learning about what it means to be a Christian.

Seeds are being planted that, with proper nourishment, will continue to grow, and we want to invite you to join with us in this important task.

There is no question that God has blessed Middleton Grange School. Over the past 40 years we have experienced tremendous growth. With your help, we can build on the Middleton Grange legacy to provide our pupils with excellent resources and opportunities in the classroom that will allow them to use their talents, gifts and knowledge to God's glory.

Through the Alumni Association, we are reaching towards a challenging but exciting vision: to advance the work and cause of Christian education in New Zealand. This we hope to do by training and equipping tomorrow's Christian leaders here at Middleton Grange, and by looking outwards towards other Christian schools.

We have been tremendously blessed as a school, both materially with modern buildings and well-resourced classrooms and in the wealth of expertise in the staff employed at the school. It is the desire of the school to invest its abundance in assisting other South Island Christian schools. This assistance could be in the form of sending staff to assist in that school for a short time, preparing and sharing teaching or administrative resources, and providing advice where appropriate.

Your help as a member of the Alumni Association is essential. As we face the exciting challenges before us, we turn to you - ex-pupils, staff, Board members and friends of Middleton Grange School with two requests:

Prayer - for the school and its outward focus.

Support - consider not only membership of the Association but also a generous financial or practical commitment to the outward focus of the school.
