Senior College Curriculum

"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might as unto God and not unto men." (Colossians 3:20)

Pupils in Years 11, 12 and 13 are preparing for the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Levels 1, 2 and 3, and some for Scholarship awards. The Senior College is very grateful for the achievements of Middleton pupils in these exams.

A broad range of subjects caters for individual needs and interests. The school's curriculum embraces the National Curriculum statements in all subject areas, and interprets these statements from a biblical perspective.

High academic standards are emphasised. Pupils are guided in setting goals and supported in working towards achieving them. Academic Colours are awarded in each subject to pupils who meet the criteria.
Extension opportunities and learning support from a very dedicated team of teachers and teacher-aides are available as required to ensure that all pupils are able to progress according to their ability.

Besides academic courses, we offer a wide variety of alternative pathways, including Gateway, S.T.A.R courses, and work experience.
